How to Eat Healthy

It is good and easy to eat in a yummy and healthy way. There are 6 food groups. You need a little bit of each food group each day. The food groups are:

You may think you don’t need oils and oil is bad for you, but the good oil is in fish, nuts, and vegetable oils, because those oils are good for you. You need at least 3 ounces of grain a day. Some examples of grains are bread, pasta, crackers, and cereal. Whole grain foods are the best. The amount of vegetables you eat is based on your age. Example: for an average 12 year old girl you would need 2 cups a day, and for an average 12 year old boy you would need 2 ½ cups each day.  Fruits are very yummy and healthy make sure to get at least 1 ½ cups a day. There is a big selection of fruits and vegetables.  Also the milk category is good for you because you can get lots of calcium. But, perhaps you don’t like milk you can eat things with milk in it like ice cream.  Meats give you protein and they are very healthy. It is important to choose low fat meats and poultry. To get rid of some of the fats you can cook the meat. It is also important to eat beans because they have iron and zinc in them. Make sure not to eat too much sugar or candy.  These are the basics on how to eat healthy while also eating fun food.

What is really inside candy???

Sometime we need SUGAR. All though to much sugar can cause bad things just a little bit know and then is good.  Now I’m not saying that you should substitute candy or ice cream for vegetables. Vegetables are much more important.  But guess what is in the candy you eat. WARNING THE NEXT  PIECE INFORMATION   MAY LOSE YOUR INTEREST IN CANDY!!!  Some the ingredients in candy are gross. Such as Whey. What is whey you ask well it is: the serum or watery part of milk containing sugar, minerals, and lactalbumin that is separated from the thicker or more coagulable part or curd especially in the process of making cheese.  Who new that a tootsie roll pop is made with a ingredient for cheese!!!
